Finishing Options

Phillips provides a wide array of finishing options tailored for each specific program:

Strip and Ship

This is the most basic level of finishing. Supports will be removed, and the parts will be washed and post-cured. This is also the fastest and most economical level of finishing and allows you to do the finishing you need to meet your specific requirements.

Functional Finish

This is the most common level of finishing in the RP industry, and is well suited for engineering review and checking fit and form. Parts will be finished similar to the strip and ship method and the exterior will be lightly sanded and bead-blasted to result in a matte finish. Some stair-stepping will be present at this level of finishing.
